Factors Affecting the Drying Degree of Sludge Drying Machines

During the operation of the sludge dryer, there may sometimes be a situation where the sludge fails to dry completely in one go. This not only wastes a large amount of heat energy, but also reduces work efficiency and increases costs when it needs to be dried again. So, why can't the sludge dryer dry it completely?


First, when the moisture content of the sludge material is high, a large amount of heat will be required during the drying process. If we do not have a good understanding of the basic characteristics of such highly moisture-containing sludge and directly put it into the dryer under high moisture conditions, it is very likely to result in a situation where the sludge dryer cannot dry the sludge completely at one go. Generally, to avoid this situation, we can first perform appropriate dehydration treatment on the high-moisture sludge, and then carry out the drying operation within an appropriate moisture content range.

Thirdly, the working principle of the sludge dryer is mainly achieved through the heat exchange between the wet sludge and the high-temperature air flow inside the dryer. Therefore, sufficient heat resources and stable temperature are the key factors to ensure the efficiency and quality of sludge drying. However, if during the drying process, the cylinder bends and has cracks, or the conveying pipeline has air leakage, it will result in insufficient heat in the drying cylinder. As a consequence, the situation where the sludge dryer cannot dry the sludge completely in one go will inevitably occur.
